lagged

Ok, so in the past 38 hours, I've been flying. Or, more accurately, I've been sitting in airports. In that 38 hours, I've had 32 hours of unnecessary delay and I've been sent from San Francisco to Denver and back to San Francisco for no apparent reason. I know it's easy to complain about the airline industry, but has anybody begun to consider the monumental market failure that is American flying? I'm beginning to think that the terrorists are right, if only in their belief that blowing up planes is a good thing. Though I guess the fact that the planes are usually full of paying customers likes me kind of takes the piss out of that short agreeement.
